Buffalo County OKs 'Eagle Hill Acres' administrative subdivision after brief hearing

The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners approved an administrative subdivision to be known as "Eagle Hill Acres" after a public hearing on May 28, 2024.
Chairperson Ivan H. Klein opened the hearing at 9:20 a.m. and licensed land surveyor Trenton Snow and applicant Brent M. Carmody (Managing Member, Carmody Farms L.L.C.) answered questions about the proposed plat. The hearing closed at 9:24 a.m.
Commissioner Bill Maendele moved to approve the administrative subdivision and Commissioner Daniel Lynch seconded. The motion carried on a roll call vote of seven in favor, none opposed. The board adopted Resolution 2024-23, finding the property lies in the Agricultural – Residential (AGR) zoning district, the proposed plat satisfied the county's Subdivision Resolution (Section 3.02 for administrative subdivisions), and that Odessa Road abutting the tract met county width standards.
The minutes record a title search provided to the County Attorney’s Office, which the attorney cleared with respect to Buffalo County’s interests. The resolution notes a remnant portion of the original parcel owned by Carmody Farms, L.L.C., of roughly 354 acres.
The board authorized the plat to be filed and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Buffalo County. No public opposition or conditions were recorded during the hearing.
