Board of Equalization approves multiple motor-vehicle tax exemptions and schedules permissive-exemption hearings

The Buffalo County Board convened as the Board of Equalization on March 29 to consider motor-vehicle tax exemption applications and permissive-exemption requests.
The board approved a tax-exemption application from Press on Ministry for a 2017 Kia SUV after a brief hearing during which Teri Wilson answered questions on behalf of the applicant. The board also approved Grace Fellowship’s renewal for a 2004 Ford Econoline and a 2008 Ford Econoline commercial cutaway.
The board approved a permissive-exemption waiver request for the Nebraska Aids Project and authorized County Assessor Roy Meusch to consider the permissive exemption with a public hearing. It also approved a permissive-exemption waiver request for Two Rivers Public Health and authorized the assessor to proceed to a public hearing; Commissioner Daniel Lynch recorded an abstention on that vote.
After the BOE actions the board adjourned and reconvened the regular commissioners meeting.
