Buffalo County approves federal-aid urban boundary map and opens gravel bids for 2024-25

Highway Superintendent John Maul and Assistant Highway Superintendent Cory Jensen attended the Feb. 27 meeting to present road-related items. The board authorized Chairperson Klein to sign the Federal-Aid Urban Boundary Map by unanimous vote.
The clerk read gravel bids submitted for the period April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025 from five companies: Mid Nebraska Aggregate Inc.; Broadfoot Sand and Gravel Co.; Southwest Gravel Products; Paulsen Inc.; and Ed Broadfoot & Sons Sand & Gravel Inc. The Road Committee, Highway Superintendent and Assistant will review the bids and return recommendations at the March 12 meeting.
The motions to approve the federal-aid map and to open and record the gravel bids were moved and seconded and carried on unanimous roll call votes. No award decisions were recorded at this meeting; timetable and recommendation steps were entered into the minutes.
