Buffalo County sets March 26 bid date for three facilities projects and rehired a part-time facilities worker

Facilities Director Stephen Gaasch presented four agenda items to the Buffalo County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 27.
The board set a bid date of Tuesday, March 26, 2024 for three projects: an Extension parking lot addition, the 321 Building remodel and impound lot improvements. Each bid-date motion was moved and seconded and passed on unanimous roll call votes. The minutes state that the Road Committee, Highway Superintendent and assistant will review bids where applicable and return recommendations at the March 12 meeting when noted.
The board also approved the rehiring of former employee Kirk Scott to a part-time position in the Facilities Department. That motion was moved by Commissioner Higgins and seconded by Commissioner Morrow and carried unanimously.
The board recorded motions, seconders and roll call results in the clerk's minutes; the bid schedule and rehiring authorization were entered into the record for implementation by Facilities.
