Buffalo County sets March 12 bid date for Sweetwater Avenue project, approves temporary highway schedule

The Buffalo County Board on Feb. 13 set a bid date of Tuesday, March 12, 2024 for Project No. C10 (1431) — Sweetwater Avenue South 11th Street — on a motion by Commissioner Daniel Lynch, seconded by Commissioner Sherry Morrow; the motion passed by roll call.
The board also voted to temporarily change the Highway Department’s weekly schedule from five eight-hour days to four 10-hour days beginning March 4, 2024 and continuing through Nov. 8, 2024, returning to five eight-hour days on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024. That change was moved by Commissioner Ron Loeffelholz and seconded by Commissioner Timothy Higgins and was approved by unanimous vote.
