Fulton County approves replacement dispatch clocks, regional support contract and two-year Hazmat agreement

Fulton County commissioners on Dec. 23 approved equipment and contracts aimed at supporting emergency response and hazardous materials readiness.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton told the board that the dispatch clocks in the county’s operations center are over 20 years old and need replacement. Barton said, "Pre Alert is in place and that the information has been sent out to the fire departments," and provided an update on completed and upcoming trainings.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve a ComPros quote to purchase and install two dispatch clocks for $4,940, which the board approved 'All in favor.' The commissioners also approved the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; Barton and the board noted the contract is fully grant funded. Finally, Commissioner Bunch moved to approve a two-year Hazmat Team agreement with McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc., with payments of $2,500 for fiscal year 2026 and $7,500 for fiscal year 2027; the motion passed unanimously among those present.
The actions update aging equipment, formalize regional support services under a grant, and secure an external Hazmat team agreement. The board adjourned at 11:21 a.m.
Next steps: the county will complete procurement and contract-execution steps so equipment can be installed and contracted services become available.
