Fulton County commissioners approve festival lease, CDBG engineering contract and several purchases; Pressley Ridge contract tabled

Fulton County commissioners unanimously approved a package of leases, contracts and purchases at their Feb. 17, 2026 meeting and tabled one proposed services contract pending more information.
On a motion by Commissioner Hervey P. Hann the board approved a McConnell Park lease submitted by the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism authorizing the Strawberry Festival to be held June 11–13, 2026. The board also approved a contract with CES Engineering, LLC for engineering services related to the Warfordsburg Senior Center CDBG project, not to exceed $15,000.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to retroactively authorize Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives to sign a CDBG Exempt Status Determination and Mitigation Measures and Conditions form; commissioners voted unanimously to approve the retroactive authorization.
Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress requested approval to purchase office furniture from W.B. Mason for the Domestic Relations Department. Commissioner Bunch moved to approve the purchase, to be funded by the Title IV-D Incentive Account, in the amount of $6,467.15; the board approved the request. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve an invoice from Wessel & Company for CFO services for January 2026 in the amount of $4,340; the motion passed unanimously.
On a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible the board tabled a contract between Pressley Ridge and the County of Fulton for services for children until more information is gathered. The meeting adjourned at 11:22 a.m.
