Heidi E. Winter, Murray County Auditor-Treasurer, presented the proposed 2025 budget and the county’s proposed levy and summarized the results of the county’s 2024 Performance Measures Program. The presentation was informational; the board did not take any formal motions or votes during the special meeting.
Commissioners Lori Gunnink, Dennis Welgraven, Jackie Meier and Dave Thiner were recorded as present; Commissioner Molly Malone was excused. County Attorney Travis Smith and County Administrator Carolyn McDonald were listed as present for the session.
Five residents attended and raised concerns about estimated market values, property classification and homestead status. The board recorded contact information for those residents so the Assessor’s Office could follow up individually rather than addressing individual assessment details on the public record.
