Buffalo County approves N A Hervert administrative subdivision

The public hearing was opened for licensed land surveyor Mitchell (Mitch) Humphrey, who filed the subdivision on behalf of Linda D. Pfortmiller, Trustee of the Nancy A. Hervert Revocable Trust. Resident Gwen Stengel asked for clarification; no other members of the public spoke. After closing the hearing, the Board moved to approve the subdivision by unanimous vote.
Resolution 2025-67 records the Board's findings that the parcel lies in Buffalo County's Agriculture (AG) zoning district, contains approximately 149.54 remnant acres, and abuts county-maintained 265th Road, which the resolution states meets the county's minimum width standards. The resolution also notes that title-search paperwork was provided and cleared for county interests.
The Board's approval authorizes the plat to be filed and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds, completing the county's administrative-subdivision process for this application.
