The Buffalo County Board of Equalization met June 10 and approved valuation changes, tax-list corrections and a number of motor-vehicle tax-exemption renewals.
County Assessor Roy Meusch presented valuation-change submissions for named parcel owners; the board approved the assessor’s listings by roll-call vote. The board also approved Tax List Corrections numbered 5103 and 5106–5110 as submitted by the assessor.
The board approved multiple motor-vehicle tax-exemption renewals processed by County Treasurer Brenda Rohrich. Exemptions approved included vehicles for Catholic High School of Kearney, Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska (a long list of vehicles; Commissioner Myron Kouba recorded an abstention on that vote), Mid-Nebraska Individual Services (abstention recorded by Commissioner Ivan Klein for that vote), Mother Hull Home, and South Central Behavioral Services, Inc. The minutes list vehicle model years and descriptions for each organization as recorded on the renewal applications.
All actions were recorded by roll-call votes; the Board of Equalization then adjourned and returned the meeting to the Board of Commissioners.
