Buffalo County board ratifies payroll, accepts reports and approves interlocal agreement and licenses

The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners on June 10 handled routine fiscal and administrative business including payroll ratification, acceptance of financial reports, and a series of agreements and licenses.
The board ratified May 30 payroll claims processed by the County Clerk; the minutes list General Fund net payroll of $389,761.48 and Road Fund net payroll of $67,865.36 along with standard withholdings and retirement plan entries. The board also accepted the Buffalo County Treasurer May 2025 Fund Balance Report and the Clerk of the District Court May 2025 Report.
On agreements and contracts, the board approved an updated Interlocal Agreement with Hall County, Adams County and the Administrative Office of the Courts & Probation for the Central Nebraska Veterans Treatment Court. The board approved a tax refund request for parcel 364501420 for NebraskaLink Holdings and approved an Agreement for Maintenance and Webhosting with Educational Service Unit 10. The board additionally approved early claims listed by the County Clerk, including Clearview AI ($7,000) and a PenLink subscription ($25,000).
Following review of the County Sheriff’s report the board approved a Special Designated Liquor (SDL) License application by Nightlife Concepts Inc. for an event at Rowe Sanctuary, 44450 Elm Island Road, Gibbon, NE on June 25, 2025. Chairperson Morrow and Vice-Chairperson Maendele participated in readings and recognitions earlier in the meeting: Vice-Chair Maendele read Achievement Awards for the Kearney Catholic High School girls and the Kearney High School boys track teams, and the board adopted Resolution 2025-35 recognizing Visitors Bureau Executive Director Roger Jasnoch for his years of service.
