Staff returned to the Commission on June 20 with additional data on lot sizes in the General Agricultural District, including regional comparisons, population density, recent property advertisements and options such as expanding the General Residential or Village Center districts or creating a family‑subdivision exception.
Commissioner Belinda Strom said local property listings did not show that smaller lots had lowered land costs for buyers, and commissioners questioned whether creating more Village Centers would achieve the intended housing outcomes. By consensus, the Commission tabled the lot‑size amendment for more information and asked the county attorney to research whether a family‑subdivision exception would be permitted. The Commission also agreed to change its July meeting time to 7:00 p.m. and to hold a joint public hearing on a conditional use permit amendment for Quarter Horse Solar (formerly Moody Creek Solar).
