Marquette County — The Marquette County Board of Health voted Sept. 2 to raise the department’s flu-vaccine fees, increasing the standard dose from $48 to $52 and the high-dose shot from $100 to $112.
Health Officer Jayme Sopha told the board the increases reflect higher acquisition costs and reimbursement pressures. Sopha said the department primarily bills Medicare and Medicaid for high-dose vaccines, and that some individuals occasionally pay out of pocket for the standard dose.
Mike Raddatz moved to approve the fee change and Dave Benson seconded; the motion carried. The board did not provide a roll-call tally in the meeting minutes.
The board consented to the fee adjustment during new business; no additional conditions or follow-up assignments were recorded. The next Board of Health meeting is scheduled for Oct. 7, 2025.
