Murray County adds townships and cities to cannabis enforcement agreements and approves registration fee schedule

The Murray County Board of Commissioners on June 17 accepted signed joint powers agreements from additional townships and cities to enforce the county's Article 27 Cannabis Regulations. The board authorized Chair Dennis Welgraven and County Administrator Carolyn McDonald to sign the agreements and approved updates to Article 27 appendices reflecting the additions.
The townships added were Bondin, Cameron, Iona, Lake Sarah, Leeds, Lowville, Mason, Shetek, Skandia and Slayton. The cities added were Currie, Dovray and Hadley. The motion to accept and approve the additional joint powers agreements was moved by Loy Woelber, seconded by Mark Carlson and passed.
The board also approved a Retail Cannabis and Hemp Business Registration Application and a fee schedule, citing Minnesota Statutes Section 342.14, Subd. 7 and Section 342.22 as statutory authority.
