Project representatives said the development would include about 255 turbines, more than 140,000 acres of total leased acreage (about 77,000 acres in Murray County) and over 450 signed landowners among more than 1,200 total participants. Apex said the project has a verified wind resource and is designed to minimize environmental impacts. Company representatives detailed a phased schedule with Phase I construction beginning in fall 2027, Phase II starting in 2029 and initial operations planned by the end of 2028 for the earliest phases.
