Murray County adopts MN 267 winter maintenance work order and authorizes advertisement for Highway Department Phase II bids

Murray County commissioners on Nov. 4 adopted a work order agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation to provide winter maintenance on MN 267 (from TH 30 south to Iona) for $11,500 and authorized advertisement for bids on Phase II of the Highway Department expansion.
Commissioner Roger Zins moved to adopt Resolution 2025-11-04-01 for the MN DOT work order and Commissioner Mark Carlson seconded; the board approved the resolution. The work order continues an arrangement the county has held with MnDOT for several years to perform snow and ice removal on that portion of MN 267.
On a separate but related infrastructure item, the board authorized proceeding to advertise for bids on Phase II of the county highway project (new storage buildings, salt shed and fueling island). County construction manager Contegrity Group (Larry Fillipi participated by Zoom) and engineering/architecture firm Widseth completed plans and specifications; bid packages will be issued in multiple parts with a full bid opening scheduled about 3.5 weeks after publication.
The board’s action authorizes the procurement process; bid awards and final contract approvals will return to the county board for consideration after qualification review and presentation in December.
