An alternate bid for a shell-only option (building shell, gravel lot and seven doors) was requested to provide a lower-cost comparison.
The board clarified that this approval authorizes only solicitation of bids to determine actual costs; the board may decline to proceed after reviewing returned bids. Staff estimated an approximate construction cost of $200,000, which is included in the 2026 preliminary budget. Commissioners set the bid opening for Jan. 20, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the regular board meeting.
