Murray County board approves audit engagement, ditch bills and routine equipment purchases

SLAYTON, Minn. — The Murray County Board of Commissioners approved several routine administrative and procurement items on Jan. 27, including an annual audit engagement, payment of drainage bills and equipment purchases.
The board authorized the 2025 Audit Engagement Letter with the Minnesota Office of the State Auditor and directed the Board Chair and Auditor-Treasurer to sign the letter. Commissioners also approved payment of Murray County Drainage Authority bills totaling $445.48, with invoices available at the meeting.
For county fleet needs, the board approved up-fitting of two new sheriff squads at $15,477 per vehicle from MacQueen, with staff noting reuse of existing equipment where feasible. Commissioners also approved purchasing ten flip-top training tables and twenty rolling nesting chairs from ULINE for $8,500 (purchase included in the 2026 budget).
