The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners adopted a proclamation naming May 4–10, 2025 as National Corrections Officers and Employees Week and publicly thanked corrections staff present at the meeting.
Commissioner Daniel Lynch read the proclamation into the record and expressed thanks to those who serve Buffalo County. Lieutenant Chat Hunt, Sargent Jui Byrne, Sheriff Deputy Chris Jarmin and correction officers Gabriela Perez and Rosario Perez were noted as present. The board adopted Resolution 2025-21 to formalize the proclamation (motion by Bill Maendele, seconded by Ivan Klein).
Commissioner Myron Kouba read employee recognitions for county staff members with service anniversaries recorded in the minutes: Gabriela Perez (1 year), Robyn Dietz (1 year), Dallas Buck (10 years) and Robbi Rimpley (25 years).
