Buffalo County opens finance and construction bids for new Law Enforcement Center

Buffalo County officials opened and read submitted proposals related to financing and construction management for a planned new Law Enforcement Center (LEC) during the April 22 Board of Commissioners meeting.
Facilities Director Steve Gaasch instructed the County Clerk to read aloud three public finance proposals from Northland, Piper Sandler and D.A. Davidson & Co. He also directed the clerk to read construction manager proposals from Sletten Construction, Beckenhauer Construction, MCL Construction, Sampson Construction, JE Dunn Construction and Hausmann Construction. Gaasch said the Facilities Department and the LEC selection committee will review the submissions and return recommendations to the board at its May 13, 2025 meeting.
The board also set a bid date of Tuesday, May 13, 2025, for survey work related to the project (motion by Commissioner Myron Kouba, seconded by Commissioner Timothy Higgins). No selection decisions were made at the April 22 meeting; the packet and proposer lists were made part of the public record.
