Buffalo County awards multi-zone gravel contracts for 2025–26 road work

Highway Superintendent John Maul presented the Road Committee’s final bid tabulations. Commissioner Ivan Klein moved to award the gravel contracts; Commissioner Daniel Lynch seconded. The board awarded Zones 1–7 and 12–13 to Paulsen Inc.; Zones 8–11 and 14 and 16 to Ed Broadfoot & Sons Sand & Gravel Inc.; Zones 18–26 to Mid Nebraska Aggregate Inc.; and Zones 15 and 17 to Southwest Gravel Products. The motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
The awards follow competitive bidding opened Feb. 25, 2025; the contracts cover material supply for county road maintenance beginning April 1. The Highway Superintendent and the Road Committee will oversee implementation and contract administration.
