Buffalo County opens gravel bids for 2025–26 and grants 30-day extension on subdivision road maintenance report

At its Feb. 25 meeting, the Buffalo County Board of Commissioners approved a 30-day extension for the Spruce Hollow West Second Subdivision road maintenance report at the request of Highway Superintendent John Maul.
County Clerk Heather Christensen read the gravel bids submitted for the April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026 period. Bidders listed in the minutes are Broadfoot Sand and Gravel Co. Inc., Mid Nebraska Aggregate Inc., Southwest Gravel Products, Paulsen Inc., and Ed Broadfoot & Sons Sand & Gravel Inc. Highway Superintendent John Maul, Assistant Superintendent Cory Jensen and the Road Committee will review the bids and present recommendations at the March 11 meeting.
The extension on the Spruce Hollow report and the opening of bids were approved by recorded vote; the minutes reflect the Board’s direction that the Highway Department and the Road Committee evaluate the bids before the next meeting.
