Summary
ISG told the board it will resign as Monona County’s drainage engineer but will complete several ongoing projects and assist with a transition, asking that a new engineer be in place by May 22, 2026.
During the board’s recess to convene as Drainage Trustees, Amanda Goodenow of ISG informed trustees that ISG is resigning as the county’s drainage engineer but will continue through the transition and complete several ongoing projects.
Goodenow said ISG will carry projects through to completion, including Gray Lateral C (expected mid‑spring), Maple River Lateral 1 FEMA, Barber Creek FEMA and Oliver Lake Lateral 1 (with reclassification expected by the end of May). ISG requested the county have a new drainage engineer in place by May 22, 2026 to ensure continuity.
Amy Borchardt‑Sick and Ashley Brown, drainage clerks, were present for drainage business, along with ISG engineer Eric Sibenaller. The minutes record no immediate action by the board accepting the resignation; the firm will provide transition support and complete listed projects before the requested turnover date.
