CHARLOTTE COUNTY — The Charlotte County Electoral Board met at 10:00 a.m. Feb. 3, 2020 at the Registrar’s Office and approved minutes from a prior meeting, the minutes state.
The board’s attendance was recorded as Glenwood Foster, Chair; Lawrence Clark, Vice‑Chair; and Robert Bradner, Secretary. The meeting was called to order by Foster, who led the board in prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
On a motion by Vice‑Chair Lawrence Clark, seconded by Secretary Robert Bradner, the board unanimously approved the minutes of the meeting of Jan. 8, 2010 as recorded in the minutes.
The minutes note two items under old business: a previously requested meeting with Mr. Witt has taken place, and the Registrar and the board will prepare a presentation for the BoS for workshops scheduled in March. The record also states that a monitor will be installed that week to support board operations.
Under new business the board discussed the Assistant Registrar position, the budget, preparations for the March primary, and the officers of election; the minutes say these matters were discussed extensively. No specific motions or decisions on those items are recorded in the Feb. 3 minutes.
The meeting was adjourned by motion of Vice‑Chair Clark, seconded by Secretary Bradner; the board voted unanimously to adjourn until 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, when the listed items will be discussed further and action will be taken.
The minutes are signed by Glenwood Foster, Chair; Lawrence Clark, Vice‑Chair; and Robert Bradner, Secretary.
