City staff told the North Logan City Council Feb. 18 that the city had been awarded a $400,000 WaterSmart Planning and Project Design grant to fund engineering and project design work. Alan Luce and Jordan Oldham told the council the grant requires a council resolution to finalize the award.
Staff reported approximately $1.2 million in matching investments attributable to previous work on a water tank, wells and distribution lines. Councilmember Emily Schmidt moved to adopt the resolution endorsing the grant; Councilmember Kenny Reese seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
No detailed scope, schedule or match-payment schedule was discussed during the meeting; staff indicated the resolution was necessary to complete grant paperwork.
