Patti Stacey, Kittitas County facilities director, presented a draft change order from contractor Belsaas & Smith on Feb. 23 that would renovate current BOCC office space into a "secure" location for the misdemeanant probation office at an estimated cost of $28,482.39 plus tax.
Stacey told the Board the documents were not yet final and that she would bring the completed change order forward on a future agenda for formal approval. The minutes record the amount and the intended purpose but do not show any commitment of funds or a recorded vote at this meeting.
The Board directed staff to return the matter with finalized documents; no amendments, contracts, or award actions were finalized during the Office Administration meeting.
The draft change order will be added to the agenda for a future meeting where the Board can consider formal approval and any required contracting steps.
