Chester County contractors outline 2025 paving schedule; some projects target late‑2026 completion

He also noted two state‑maintained segments, Duke Street in Great Falls and the state portion of Quail Hollow Circle, are under separate contract to start in August and be completed by Sept. 30 (as reported to the committee).
Richard Turner of Morton Thomas and Associates (AMT) reported on the county’s annual funding road program and said it is about 55–56% complete. Turner said all three local roads in that package (McCree Drive, Hosea Strong Road and Looking Glass Drive) and two state roads (Martin Luther King Memorial Drive and Lowry Street) have been paved; final pavement markings are pending warmer weather. He told the committee that contractor King Asphalt plans to return to Chester on Feb. 23 to begin work on Enix Road and then proceed to Nelson Road, Sycamore Road and Lincolnville Road, aiming to finish around March 22. Turner added that the official contract completion date for the AMT package is May 31 and that progress remains dependent on weather.
