The Charlevoix County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 11 adopted two resolutions accepting donations totaling $8,460 for county services and appointed Sarah Bronson to a regional mental health board.
The board accepted an anonymous $6,000 donation to the Charlevoix County Commission on Aging, with the donor requesting the funds be used toward a new convection oven at the Charlevoix Senior Center. The resolution directing county staff to use the funds as requested passed on a 5-0 roll-call vote.
Separately, the Charlevoix County Community Foundation donated $2,460 to Charlevoix County Veterans Affairs for the Veterans Assistance Endowment; the board accepted that donation by resolution on a 5-0 roll-call vote.
Also during new business the board appointed Sarah Bronson to the North Country Community Mental Health Board to serve the remainder of the partial term through March 31, 2028; the appointment was approved 5-0.
