Charlevoix County approves $2.09 million in January expenditures, authorizes boardwalk engineering work

The Charlevoix County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 11 approved January county expenditures totaling $2,086,206.43 and accepted an additional-services agreement with Manchin Engineering to provide structural inspection and repair design for the Wheelway Boardwalk Trail.
The board adopted Resolution #26-014 after the Charlevoix County Audit Committee reviewed invoices on Jan. 14 and Jan. 28 and recommended approval. The roll-call vote on the expenditures was 5-0.
Under unfinished business, the board considered an authorization for additional services from Manchin Engineering. Commissioner Robert Jess moved to accept the agreement; Commissioner Tim Kenney seconded, and the motion carried on a 5-0 roll-call vote.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved the consent agenda โ which included minutes, committee items, correspondence and a monthly resolution for county expenditures โ on a 5-0 roll-call vote after a motion by Commissioner Tim Kenney and a second by Commissioner Joshua Chamberlain.
The meeting adjourned at 10:01 a.m.
