Fulton County commissioners approve $281,921.91 in payables and several routine administrative items

At its Dec. 16 meeting the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved $281,921.91 in payables, retroactively approved a $1,660.48 software renewal for the Fiscal Department, authorized an inmate physician-services request, confirmed an appointment to the Industrial Development Authority and reappointed four members to the Agricultural Land Preservation Board.
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved payables totaling $281,921.91 on Dec. 16, 2025, and completed a series of routine administrative actions including a software renewal, an inmate physician-services request and multiple appointments and reappointments.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025; the motion passed with all commissioners recorded as voting in favor. The clerk presented a fund-level breakdown showing $214,588.09 from the General Fund, $20,705.31 from Fund 238 (911), $46,105.21 from Opioid Settlement Funds, and smaller amounts from Funds 227, 231 and 256, for a total of $281,921.91.
On a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible, the board retroactively approved a Fiscal Department renewal order form for Momentive Software, Inc. at an annual price of $1,660.48. Commissioner Bunch approved and executed a request submitted by the Sheriff's Department for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility.
The board also approved an appointment letter for Thomas Peppernick to serve on the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term to expire Dec. 31, 2027; Commissioner Bunch made the motion. Commissioner Hann moved to approve reappointment letters for Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to two-year terms on the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board, with terms expiring Dec. 31, 2027; the motion carried.
The board further approved the 2026 Commissioners' meeting dates for public advertisement in the Fulton County Newspaper. Several items — including a brief Retirement Board meeting to set pension contribution rates and the scheduling of a DCED financial monitoring review — were noted; the DCED interview listed for 11:30 a.m. was cancelled and DCED requested to meet instead with SEDA Cog and the chief clerk.
