The Fountain Green City Council voted unanimously to accept ordinance provisions recommended by its Planning and Zoning Commission affecting Chapters 2, 3, 7 and 10.
Kerry Farnsworth moved to accept the ordinance provisions as outlined by Planning and Zoning; Vaughn Jacobsen seconded. The motion passed with all present voting "Yes." Council members said the amendments reflected minor wording changes intended to streamline subdivision and land-use processes.
The changes were presented as Commission recommendations; the council’s vote at this meeting accepted the provisions as outlined. Staff will proceed with any required codification and posting of updated ordinance documents and coordinate with IT on consolidating ordinance hosting for public access.
Councilor Rich Walker volunteered to coordinate a further comprehensive ordinance review with staff and IT, noting several provisions across the code are outdated and will require multi-session review.
