Committee updates process for clearing personal property at tax‑delinquent Rhinelander parcel

Sara Chiamulera, staff for the Oneida County Land Records Committee, told members on Feb. 10 that a Writ of Assistance has been issued by Corporation Counsel for tax‑delinquent parcel RH‑1327 at 209 E Frederick St. in the City of Rhinelander and that the Sheriff's Department is arranging service of the writ.
Chiamulera said the prior owner had a 30‑day window to remove personal items; that period has expired. County staff are coordinating with a moving company to remove the contents of structures on the parcel. Under the plan described to the committee, the mover would remove items as approved by the Sheriff and hold them in Sheriff‑locked storage for 30 days. After that period the County will decide whether to retain personal property or allow the mover to sell it.
The presentation was an informational update; the committee did not take a separate vote on the removal process. The committee did not receive public comment on the parcel at the meeting.
