Greenville City Council on March 3 unanimously approved several administrative and policy items, including the city's 2025 Public Participation Summary required by the Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) program, a permit for a local food truck, an Artificial Intelligence Use Policy, and the award of a three-year farmland lease.
Mayor Jeff Scoby called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Complex. During the public-comment portion, Jeff Hines of 109 N. Bower Street thanked the council for its support of the City Manager and discussed Danish Festival donations; Audrey Belding of 13065 Morgan Mills, Gowen, spoke about serving as Miss Danish Festival and a community project that collected 300 handwritten hearts; Andrea Krause, president of the Danish Festival, congratulated Belding and praised festival volunteers.
On routine business, Councilperson Moss moved approval of the consent agenda, which included minutes from the Feb. 17 council meeting, payroll of $191,359.75 and accounts payable of $13,443.11; Councilperson Johnson seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
