Spencer County Fiscal Court reviewed its quarterly financial report for the period ending June 30, 2019, and approved a register of invoices and budget transfers during the Aug. 5 meeting.
The Court approved General Fund invoices covering EMS supplies, vendor services, utilities, copier maintenance and other operating costs. Notable items presented in the packet included a KSP dispatch contract payment of $24,612.50 for dispatch services, a PVA quarterly payment of $12,600, and a total of 146 invoice items listed in the minutes with a combined line listing of $99,470.31 (packet subtotal entries). Jail Fund charges included inmate housing payments (Shelby County detention billed $22,538), medical costs billed by the University of Louisville hospital and Clinical Solutions pharmacy, and other recurring jail expenses.
Court members discussed and approved a set of transfers from reserve accounts to cover unbudgeted or timing-sensitive needs: occupation tax refund requests, a parks trailer purchase ($5,900), KACO lease timing, tire-amnesty carryover ($500), county attorney payroll correction, and mandated salary corrections for the County Judge pursuant to KRS 64.5275. The minutes record multiple transfers from reserve lines into operating accounts to cover the items described.
Road Fund invoices for stone and DGA, Unifirst service and fuel were approved (Road Fund total listed $9,992.12). The Court ordered approval of the invoice registers and transfers as presented in the meeting packet. The minutes include a table of historic cash balances and note several transfers into operating lines to close prior fiscal obligations.
The Court adjourned at 10:51 a.m.
