Sevier County reviews Old Kodak Library condition; demolition estimate $25,000, sale urged first

Vice Mayor Bryan McCarter displayed images of interior contents and roof leaks and said the structure is composed of four modular trailers. McCarter told the intergovernmental committee the estimated demolition cost is $25,000.
Commissioner Brandon Headrick recommended the county attempt to sell the facility before spending money on demolition; Headrick also suggested that if the building does not sell, the county should review the existing lease with the Optimist Club to determine next steps.
No motion to demolish or sell was recorded at the meeting; the committee recorded no further action on the property and adjourned at 4:44 p.m.
