Commission approves Planning Commission and Water Authority appointments, notaries and moves one rezoning to February

The Dickson County Commission approved appointments to the Planning Commission and Water Authority, approved a slate of notaries, and deferred another rezoning (Noah Gielerman) to the Feb. 18 meeting.
The Dickson County Commission approved several administrative items on Jan. 21, 2025: appointments to the Planning Commission and the Water Authority, a list of county notaries, and the scheduling of a rezoning hearing for a later meeting.
On a motion by Commissioner Carl Buckner, seconded by Commissioner Becky Spicer, the commission appointed Jeff Chase, Gary Peeler and Randy Ramey to the Planning Commission; the motion passed by a unanimous aye voice vote. Commissioner Becky Spicer moved and Commissioner Ray Ledger seconded the appointment of Paula Eleazar to the Water Authority of Dickson County; that motion likewise passed unanimously.
In Other Business the commission carried the rezoning request by Noah Gielerman (Tax map 101, Parcel 16.02, 1.67 acres at 3066 Hwy 70 East) from C-2 to C-1 to the February County Commission meeting on a motion by Commissioner Danny Williams, seconded by Commissioner Cindi Gray.
The commission also approved a list of notaries (Michelle Alexander; Madeline Bagsby; Lisa E. Beard-Harris; Josephine Rebecca Clark; Kristin A. Fielder; James W. Noland; Linda R. Propps; Kendal William Regen; Kyle Schreiber; Brandon T. Springer; Leah Hayes Balitsky) on a motion by Commissioner Randy Simpkins and second by Commissioner Jody Britt; the motion passed by unanimous aye voice vote.
The clerk announced the next regular session will be Feb. 18, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
