Lunenburg board approves firefighter breathing apparatus match and certifies STEPS for housing funds

County Administrator Tracy M. Gee reported a request from Victoria Fire & Rescue Chief Rodney Newton to use $28,370.87 from Emergency Services Capital Improvement Funds as a match for a grant to purchase self-contained breathing apparatus. The board unanimously approved the request.
Administrator Gee also presented a certification request naming STEPS, Inc. as a provider of rapid rehousing, prevention and shelter services under the Virginia Housing Support Program. The board voted unanimously to approve the certification.
Both approvals were unanimous motions recorded in the minutes; no further conditions or funding contingencies were noted.
