Fulton County commissioners approve $281,921.91 in payables, staff changes and appointments

Fulton County commissioners unanimously approved a slate of administrative actions at their Dec. 16 meeting, including $281,921.91 in payables, personnel moves and several appointments.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16 totaling $281,921.91; the minutes list $214,588.09 to the General Fund (Fund 100), $20,705.31 to 911 (Fund 238), $46,105.21 charged to Fund 276 (Opioid Settlement Funds) and smaller amounts across other funds. The motion passed with all three commissioners recorded as in favor.
During a departmental update with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress, the board approved a dismissal of a Domestic Relations employee effective Dec. 8, 2025, and voted to advertise an "Enforcement Officer 1" position both internally and externally. The minutes do not identify the dismissed employee by name.
The board retroactively approved a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal for the Fiscal Department at an annual cost of $1,660.48 on a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible. Commissioners also approved and executed a request submitted by the Sheriff's Department for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to appoint Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2027; the board also reappointed Margie McGuire, Paula Shives, Thomas Morton and Daniel Schriever to two-year terms on the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board through Dec. 31, 2027. Commissioners approved the 2026 meeting dates to be publicly advertised in the Fulton County Newspaper.
The minutes show the board held executive sessions for personnel matters twice during the morning and adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
