Commissioners approve HAVA-funded keycard and camera upgrades for Voter Registration office

Fulton County Commissioners voted to use $3,000 from the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant to install a keycard fob system at the Voter Registration/Election Office and to add separate surveillance cameras above both the Commissioners’ Office and the Voter Registration office.
Linda Doyle, Voter Registration/Election Director, presented the TelePlus quote for the keycard fob installation and outlined the plan for cameras to be installed by Elect IT contractor Rick Grissinger. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the TelePlus quote and the HAVA-funded camera work; the motion passed with all commissioners in favor.
Separately, commissioners approved a TelePlus Protection System Extended Service Agreement (Silver Maintenance Coverage Plan) for $14,040.56, effective Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the extended maintenance contract; the motion carried unanimously.
The combined actions cover both capital installation (keycard and cameras) and an annual maintenance contract for the TelePlus protection system. The meeting record indicates the camera installs and keycard hardware are to be funded from the HAVA grant; the TelePlus service agreement will be paid under the county’s vendor contract schedule.
