Fulton County commissioners approved a State Interconnectivity Grant on Dec. 30 totaling $230,699.51 to be applied to multiple 911 and communications projects.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton and HR Administrator Mary Huston outlined the grant scope, which the minutes list as SouthCentral Mountain CAD Maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain CHE Maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain ESInet Maintenance, Fulton NG911 GIS Maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain Battery Upgrade, and Fulton ILEC Maintenance. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute the grant agreement; the motion passed with all in favor.
The board also approved hiring Troy Wagaman as a per-diem 911 dispatcher, effective pending necessary clearances. The minutes record a brief Salary Board meeting at 9:48 a.m. to set the dispatcher's salary and an executive session later for personnel matters.
