County Attorney Johnathan Bryan presented Resolution R-22-01 to Sumter County Council on Jan. 25, asking the body to reaffirm a set of previously approved projects funded with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars. The resolution compiles the projects into a single document and authorizes execution by the chairman and clerk.
On a motion by Councilman Charles T. Edens, seconded by Vice Chairman James R. Byrd, Jr., Council adopted R-22-01 unanimously and authorized the chairman and clerk to sign the document. The minutes note the resolution and Exhibit #1 are attached to the minutes but do not enumerate individual projects within the text of the meeting minutes.
The county attorney said the resolution “accounts for all of the projects that have been previously voted on by Council to receive ARPA funds” and recommended reaffirmation; the administrator recommended consolidating projects into one resolution for clarity.
