Minnehaha County Commission approves pay changes, tax-deed sale and dozens of liquor-license renewals

The Minnehaha County Commission on Nov. 2, 2021, approved a slate of routine and policy actions including a 3.0% matrix increase for 2022 pay for non-elected, full-time benefit-eligible positions and the addition of June 19 as a county holiday beginning in 2022.
Commissioner Bender moved to approve the pay-matrix adjustment and the holiday addition; Commissioner Heiberger seconded both motions and each carried on recorded 4-0 votes. The meeting opened at 9 a.m. under Chair Dean Karsky.
