Charlotte County Electoral Board reorganizes leadership, approves minutes

The Charlotte County Electoral Board on Feb. 15 approved minutes from Jan. 6 and from Jan. 25–Feb. 9 (the latter covering executive closed sessions for candidate interviews) and elected new officers for the board.
Aubrey Fane moved to approve the Jan. 6 minutes; Glenwood Foster seconded and the motion passed 3-0. Fane then moved to approve the Jan. 25–Feb. 9 executive-session minutes; Foster seconded and that motion also carried 3-0.
The board then reorganized its leadership. Fane moved a slate naming Glenn Baker as chairman, Glenwood Foster as vice chairman and Aubrey Fane as secretary; Foster seconded the motion, and the slate was approved unanimously. Glenn Baker had opened the meeting as temporary chair.
The board reported that a letter requesting return of county property was sent to the previous General Registrar but was returned to sender; the board's secretary will retain the returned letter in the board record.
The meeting adjourned at 2:28 p.m. on a motion by Foster and second by Fane. The board set its next regular meeting for March 3, 2022.
