Charlotte County Electoral Board approves November ballots, orders one ballot per registered voter

The Charlotte County Electoral Board voted on Aug. 23, 2022, at the Registrar's Office to approve ballots designed for the November election with changes recommended by General Registrar Jenni Booth and to order one paper ballot for every registered voter in the county, allocated by precinct. The motions carried without objection.
Booth presented ballots produced by Ben Franklin Printing and said the suggested changes were necessary to meet the needs of voters across Charlotte County's precincts. Vice Chair Dean Foster moved to approve the ballots with the registrar's changes; Secretary Aubrey Fane seconded and the motion passed without objection.
Foster then moved that the board order “one ballot for each registered voter in Charlotte County, broken down by the number of registered voters in each voting precinct (100% of all voters),” a motion seconded by Chairman Glenn Baker and carried without objection. The board did not record a roll-call tally for those votes in the minutes beyond "carried without objection."
The board also scheduled CAP training for election officers at the General Registrar's office on Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 9 a.m.; additional sessions, if necessary, were listed for Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. and Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. The board noted no citizen comments during the meeting.
The board listed review of polling place signage on the agenda for its next meeting on Sept. 1, 2022, then adjourned.
