Resident reports road-tile damage allegedly by Charter contractors; judge will meet on site

Glenn Vaughn told the Simpson County Fiscal Court on Sept. 20 that contractors working for Charter Communications damaged a road tile on his property along Morgantown Road. Vaughn said the damage occurred while the contractors were working for Charter.
Judge Mason Bames said he has photographs of the damage and has already inquired with Charter Communications, which told county officials it did not disturb the tile. Judge Bames said he plans to arrange an on-site meeting with Charter representatives and other parties involved to attempt to resolve the dispute.
The court did not adopt a formal action at the meeting but recorded the complaint and the judge's plan to pursue a site visit and discussion with Charter representatives.
