Frankfort, Ky. — The Franklin County Fiscal Court on Nov. 8 went into closed session under KRS 61.810(1)(f) for personnel matters and, upon return to open session, approved two hires and authorized a broadband support letter.
Squire Sherry Sebastian moved, seconded by Squire Kelly Dycus, to enter closed session for discussions that might lead to appointment, discipline, or dismissal of an individual employee; the motion carried unanimously. After returning to open session by unanimous motion, the court approved hiring Harry Smith as Light Equipment Operator/Truck Driver on a motion by Squire Sherry Sebastian, seconded by Squire Kelly Dycus. The court also approved hiring Sonny Robertson as Electrical Inspector on a motion by Squire Richard Tanner, seconded by Squire Kelly Dycus; both hires passed by unanimous vote.
Later in the meeting, the court amended the agenda and authorized the County Judge Executive to write a letter of support to the Frankfort Plant Board to move forward with a revised broadband plan that would provide access to approximately 884 homes; Squire Scotty Tracy made the motion and Squire J.W.
