Fox Valley Recreation Park Board Chairperson Chip Spann requested approval from the Fleming County Fiscal Court for Buffalo Trace Area Development District to submit a 70/30 ARC pre-application to fund a new wastewater treatment facility at the park.
Spann told the court park leaders had estimated long-term amortization for a 30% local match and said modest rental-rate increases could allow the park to manage debt-service payments. The discussion reviewed options including upgrading the existing pump station versus building a new wastewater treatment facility. Spann asked the court to authorize submission of the ARC pre-application before the program's Sept. 23, 2019 deadline; the court agreed to continue discussion at a Special Call meeting on Sept. 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
The court also authorized the sale of a surplus 1985 mobile home at the park and agreed that proceeds, less advertising costs, would be returned to Fox Valley Recreation Park.
