Fleming County Fiscal Court approves financial reports, maintains tax rates and sets salary and pay scales

Fleming County Fiscal Court members approved July financial reports and several related budgetary items during their Aug. 13, 2019 meeting.
County Treasurer Kathy Dryden presented the July 31, 2019 month-end report showing $1,051,924.10 in county funds across multiple accounts (General Fund $341,304.61; Road Fund $332,359.48; Jail Fund $69,073.97; LGEA Fund $109,092.67; Forest Fire Fund $65.69; Revolving Loan Fund $8,255.43; Dispatch Fund $150,767.64; Capital Improvement Fund $41,004.61). The court approved the treasurer’s report unanimously.
The court also approved budget transfers, cash transfers and all claims reports as presented, and authorized payment of the fuel account on the first of each month upon receipt effective July 1, 2019. Road department maintenance reports for June 2019 totaling $507,047.42 were approved, with a district-by-district breakdown included in the minutes.
On personnel and tax matters, the court approved salary settings effective July 1, 2019, adopted a road department pay scale effective July 1, 2019, and elected to keep personal property, real property and motor vehicle tax rates at the prior year's rate of 16 cents per $100. The Forest Fire tax rate was set at 2.5 cents per acre, unchanged from the previous year.
All of the listed financial and personnel actions were recorded as passed by unanimous vote in the minutes.
