The Fiscal Court on Nov. 12 declared two forfeiture vehicles surplus and authorized their sale online via Chuck Marshall Auction in early December, with sale proceeds to go to the Fleming County Sheriff. The vehicles listed were a 2002 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab 4x4, VIN 2GCEK19T121402149, and a 2004 Toyota Celica, VIN JTDDY32T840073836.
The Fleming County Sheriff's monthly report (presented by Kinder) and the jailer's report (presented by Cooper) were accepted by the court. The Dispatch Report (presented by Benton) was also approved; Benton said insurance repairs to dispatch consoles were scheduled in the next two weeks and that a new phone system was scheduled for installation in January.
County Attorney Monica Hill updated the court on her office's casework and said she was finalizing a lease agreement for rental of Child IV-D offices in the courthouse. County Clerk Fritz reported countywide election turnout at 45% and said a recanvas would be conducted on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 9:00 a.m.
