Fleming County Fiscal Court approves financial reports, declares emergency on Wooley Road

The Treasurer’s report, accepted unanimously, listed the following fund balances as presented: General Fund $455,379.16; Road Fund $746,814.88; Jail Fund $13,270.51; LGEA Fund $122,091.86; Forest Fire Fund $80.23; Revolving Loan Fund $8,280.93; Dispatch Fund $162,372.91; Capital Improvement Fund $304,248.91. The court also approved budget and cash transfers, claims reports, and adjusted payroll dates to Nov. 27 and Dec. 20, 2019 because of the holiday schedule.
The court authorized payment of November 2019 election expenses up to $11,500 and accepted the Fleming County Clerk’s monthly and third-quarter reports as presented by Fritz. The Fleming County Sheriff’s monthly and third-quarter reports were accepted; Sheriff Kinder stated that forfeiture orders for vehicles stored at the maintenance garage had been granted and that “the vehicles will be surplus and sold in the near future.” The jailer’s and dispatch reports were also approved; Dispatch Director Benton said console repairs from a lightning strike remain incomplete but are expected to be finished by the end of the month and noted ongoing radio transmission troubles.
Most motions on the agenda were recorded as approved unanimously. The court accepted a report from Fleming County Chamber of Commerce Director Crystal Ruark on past events and distributed information about upcoming October programs. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by County Judge/Executive Larry H. Foxworthy and adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
